Chef Tina Drzal

Chef Tina Drzal has over 20 years of teaching and training experience. She has worked in several aspects of the hospitality industry including hotels, bakeries, restaurants and with her own small company. She teaches pastry and hospitality classes and helped design the MCC pastry program.

Previously, Chef Tina was a manager at United Airlines for 16 years and traveled around the world. Her fondest memories were the food experiences, so she pursued her passion and returned to culinary school. She graduated Phi Theta Kappa and earned Bronze and Gold ACF medals through competitions. Chef Tina has degrees in Pastry Arts and Business Management, as well as a Restaurant Supervision certificate.

Chef Tina’s teaching style is to give the students as much information and hands-on experience as possible. Recipe testing is a passion of hers and she encourages students to be creative with flavors. As she tells her students, “learn the rules first, then go out there and break them well.”
