COVID-19 Updates

The health and safety of our MCC community remain our top priority. We continue to make adjustments to our on-campus operations schedule that align with federal, state, and local guidelines, and we prioritize our concern for the health and safety of our college community. Please see below for the latest information to help you navigate classes and student resources.

Masks/Face Coverings Update

Effective Tuesday, June 1, 2021, fully vaccinated MCC employees, students, and visitors will not be required to wear a mask/face covering on campus. Please continue to wear a mask/face covering while on campus if you are not fully vaccinated.

What's Open on Campus

All offices are open on campus to provide support to our students. Current students who have specific questions may contact Student Affairs at or (815) 479-7700.

Official MCC Entrances

Effective Monday, May 24, 2021, All Entrances on the MCC Campus Will Be Open Normal Hours.

To help maintain the health and safety of our on-campus community, prior to entering the building, make sure you:

  • Do not have signs/symptoms of a fever in the past 24 hours (including a temperature of 100.4F or higher)
  • Do not have a sore throat, coughing, and/or shortness of breath/difficulty breathing that could be related to COVID-19
  • Have not cared for or had close contact with someone over the last 14 calendar days who is:
    • in quarantine
    • is presumed positive for COVID-19
    • has been diagnosed with COVID-19
    • has symptoms compatible with COVID-19

If you are experiencing any of the above health concerns, reach out to Student Health (students) or HR (employees) before entry. Note: Exceptions may apply if you are in the healthcare profession or have been vaccinated.

If you're a current student and have been exposed to COVID-19, are awaiting COVID-19 test results, and/or exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, please report this information immediately to MCC at
