Brittney Gundlach - Student-Athlete of the Month - October 2015

Brittney Gundlach

Congratulations to Brittney Gundlach earning the MCC Student-Athlete of the Month honor for October. The Huntley High School graduate is a returning 5’11 sophomore on our women’s volleyball team.

Team Captain Brittney Gundlach plays Middle Blocker/Outside Hitter for the 31-6 Scots. The team is the undefeated Skyway Champions, currently ranked #1 in Region IV and #6 in the national NJCAA poll. Brittney’s stats include 176 kills, .377 hitting percentage and 77 total blocks.

“Brittney has worked hard to come back from a severe ankle injury to contribute back to the team in a quick fashion. Her work ethic is a great example for all to follow. She has been a great leader and program changer for us,” lauds Head Coach Kyle McCall.

“Brittney is a local student-athlete that saw MCC as a valuable and viable option for her as a student-athlete. She has not only performed at a national level of play but has also earned All-Conference Academic honors. Her positive demeanor is contagious and has proven to be an asset to our volleyball program and athletic department. She is a wonderful example of the quality student-athletes in our department,” adds Director of Athletics Karen Wiley.
