Sarah Dupré lives and works in the Chicago area. She received her BFA from McNeese State University, Lake Charles, Louisiana (2015) and her MFA from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois (2018). Dupré’s work stems from a heritage akin to an intoxicating spirit of splendor, celebration, temptation, and grotesque manipulation. Her pieces explore the shadow archetype by investigating what the super-ego may not identify with. Sarah teaches painting and drawing at MCC.
