Sonya Baysinger is an artist based in West Chicago, Illinois.
After receiving a Master of Art Degree from Washington State University and a Master of Fine Arts Degree from Southern Illinois University, Sonya began her teaching career. She has been teaching art for twenty years. Presently, she is an Art Instructor at Columbia College of Art and Design in Chicago, Illinois and McHenry County College in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
Sonya's jewelry, sculptures and paintings have been exhibited nationally and internationally receiving critical acclaim. As a recipient of the Arts Midwest and National Endowment for the Arts Regional Fellowship, she spent several months traveling throughout Greece. She makes annual trips to Italy to visit family and to live La Dolce Vita.
