Veterans, Become a First-Time Student at MCC

  1. Apply for Admission
    • Complete the application online and pay the non-refundable $15 admissions application fee or, stop in to the Admissions Office, A262 and complete the application in person to have the application fee waived.
  2. Submit Documents
  3. Apply for Financial Aid and Benefits
  4. Take English, math and reading placement tests in the Testing Center. Some ACT/SAT scores may be used in lieu of placement tests.
  5. Complete MCC's New-Student Orientation (NSO)
    • Sign up for NSO online, in-person through the registration office in A258 or by phone at (815) 455-8588
    • Full-time students are required to complete NSO before registering for their first full-time term. Part-time students are highly encouraged to attend.
    • Orientation can be done on-line

  7. Pay Your Tuition and Fees, if any are owed after benefits applied
