Petitions for MCC Trustee Election Available September 22

The McHenry County College Board of Trustees has two seats open for new board members in the April 6, 2021 Consolidated Election. According to the Illinois Public Community College Act, all candidates for the position must meet the following eligibility requirements. A candidate must be:

- A U.S. Citizen

- A resident of the community college district (MCC District #528) for at least one year preceding the election

- At least 18 years of age

Petitions for McHenry County College trustee candidates will be available from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Campus Police office at the College, Room B176, 8900 U. S. Highway 14, Crystal Lake, IL 60012. Those picking up petitions should use the official Building B Commons entrance. In order to enter the building, all individuals are required to wear a face covering and submit to a short screening process consisting of a thermal temperature check and short health questionnaire. 

Candidacy petitions for McHenry County College Board of Trustees positions will be available beginning Tuesday, September 22. Petition filing starts at 8 a.m. on Monday, December 14 and ends at 5 p.m. on Monday, December 21, excluding Saturday and Sunday.
