Join the University of Illinois Extension McHenry County Gardeners for Garden Walk 2019 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 13 starting at the Demonstration Garden at McHenry County College, located at 8700 U.S. Hwy. 14 in Crystal Lake.
Experience the varied garden cultures of Crystal Lake and Cary at the annual McHenry County Master Gardeners’ Garden Walk presented by University of Illinois Extension and McHenry County College. From Japanese gardens to gardens demonstrating the art of Feng Shui to a formal country garden, all nine gardens are a delight and a must see. Be inspired by these gardens and gardeners. The Demonstration Garden at McHenry County College, the Garden Walk’s starting point, includes a vine garden, cool shadowy corners full of shade-loving plants, various theme gardens and extensive displays of perennials and annuals. In addition, quiet hidden benches and nooks provide a place for reflection and contemplation. The Demo Garden is planted and tended by the Extension Master Gardeners.
