Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Prep Offered

 McHenry County College is offering a Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification Preparation Series that takes place from 8:30-4:30 p.m. beginning on Wednesday, April 3 at the Shah Center, located at 4100 W. Shamrock Lane in McHenry.

The series continues on April 10, May 1, 8 and 9. This 35-hour series is being facilitated by international speaker, author and executive coach, Andy Kaufman, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®), member of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) and president of the Institute for Leadership Excellence & Development, Inc.

Project management is the discipline of planning, organizing, securing, managing, leading, and controlling resources to achieve specific goals. This series includes three parts: Essentials of Project Management, Advanced Project Management, and PMP® Exam Prep.  Each course builds on the previous level. Completion of these three classes will provide participants with the 35 professional development units (PDU's) required to obtain their PMP® Certification and prepare individuals for the PMP® exam through the Project Management Institute (PMI).  Experience, education and exam requirements are needed to obtain a PMP® certification in addition to the project management education fulfilled by the courses offered in this series.

Cost is $1,399 for the series, which includes all materials.  Register for this series using course code: NTE S48 003. Those who are interested Project Management, but not in PMP® Certification, can register for the Essentials and Advanced courses individually. Fee for individual classes is $549 each.
