MCC Art Gallery Features One-of-a-Kind Printmaking, Lithography[Thursday, March 7, 2019]
"air & lack thereof," collage, lithography, monotype is part of Felicia Cannon's exhibit at McHenry County College's Epping Gallery in Building B, through March 31.
McHenry County College features an art exhibit titled “air & lack thereof” by artist Felicia Cannon through March 31 in the Epping Gallery, located in the bookstore hallway in Building B at the college.
The exhibit includes printmaking, including the techniques of lithography, monotype, etching and collage—all one-of-a-kind pieces. Cannon was raised in Clearwater, Fla. and studied printmaking, painting, and book arts. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio art from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master’s in Fine Arts degree in printmaking from Illinois State University. She creates compositions that question our relationship to- and understanding of- space. Her images function as poetry, with multiple layers of meaning and intent. Through her work, she aims to stimulate awareness and present questions rather than offering definitive solutions.
The college is located at 8900 U.S. Hwy. 14 in Crystal Lake. For more information, call Sandra Lang, gallery curator, at (815) 455-8785 or email her at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
