Petitions Available for MCC Trustee Election; Five Seats Open[Wednesday, November 7, 2018]
The McHenry County College Board of Trustees has five seats open in the April 2, 2019 Consolidated Election. Three six-year seats, one four-year seat, and one two-year seat will be up for election. According to the Illinois Public Community College Act—whether filling a vacancy or running for election, all candidates for the position must meet the following eligibility requirements. A candidate must be:
- A U.S. Citizen
- A resident of the community college district (MCC District #528)
- At least 18 years of age
Petitions for McHenry County College trustee candidates are available from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at McHenry County College – Office of the President, room A233, at McHenry County College, 8900 U. S. Highway 14, Crystal Lake, IL 60012-2738.
Petition filing starts at 8 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 10 and ends at 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 17. All candidates filing at 8 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 10 will be entered into a lottery for placement at the front of the ballot. All candidates filing between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 17 will be entered into a lottery for placement at the end of the ballot. Lottery details will be announced after petitions have been files.
