Job Title: Computer Lab Assistant

Job Description:

***THIS IS A STUDENT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY - YOU MUST BE CURRENTLY ENROLLED AS AN MCC STUDENT TO QUALIFY***  Students must remain enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours and have a 2.0 GPA to maintain eligibility for the work-study program. Flexible with work schedules to fit your class schedule (shifts between classes you must be able at least a 1 hour). Work up to 20 hours a week. Looking for students to cover open lab hours of Monday through Thursday 8:00am to 9:30pm, Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm and Saturday 9:00am to 12pm. 


Monitor activities of the open computer labs, including but not limited to clearing paper jams, loading paper in printers, changing printer toner, keeping the labs neat and tidy, physical security of lab equipment, changing student passwords, reporting technology issues to IT, assist IT team members with project work. Assist students with use of technology equipment and software


Customer service oriented, follow multi-step directions, work independently, basic computer operation knowledge (such as internet browsing, word processing, printing, copy/paste, etc.) Preference given to applicants with more customer service or technology experience.

Learning Objectives:

Experience in this position would be good entry-level work experience for a student pursuing a degree in technology, such as computer information systems, digital media systems, as well as other service oriented fields
