Voices is published each Spring Semester to give you, the contributing students, a chance to see the publication in May before you graduate, transfer, or head off to become rich and famous artists, musicians, and writers!

December 11, 2009
Print out one submission form PDF for each piece you're submitting.
Submission Guidelines
Literary Pieces (Fiction, Creative Non-Fiction, Drama, Poetry)
Email literary work in a .doc/.docx/.rtf attachment to voices@mchenry.edu or drop off in hard copy to A346, Attention: Voices (include a complete submission form PDF with either method)
- Up to three poems per person will be considered: No word limit for poetry
- Up to two stories (fiction and creative non-fiction) per person will be considered: 3,000 words maximum per piece submitted
- Up to two plays (stage and screen) per person will be considered: 15 page maximum per piece submitted

Artwork (Color or B&W Photography, Painting, Drawing, Ceramics, Sculpture, Mixed Media)
Email in a JPG/GIF file attachment to voices@mchenry.edu or drop off artwork in person in A144, Attention: Voices (include a complete submission form PDF with either method)
- All digital artwork must be submitted in digital TIFF format at 360 dpi or higher, and must be accompanied by a print out
- Multimedia or digital animations can be sent as a QuickTime file
- Up to three pieces of artwork (across categories) per person will be considered
Performance (Music, Spoken Word, Short Film)
Submit performance recordings on CD and drop off in person in A144, Attention: Voices (attach a complete submission form PDF)
- Up to two songs per person or group will be considered
- Up to two spoken word pieces per person or group will be considered: 10 minute maximum per spoken word piece submitted
- Up to two short films per person or group will be considered: 30 minutes maximum per film submitted
Submit work by December 11, 2009 for consideration in the Spring 2010 issue. Each entry must include a complete submission form PDF or it will not be considered for publication. Entries failing to meet the guidelines will be disqualified.
