Contest

How You Do It: Strut, stride or stroll on our stage
Contest Costs: $20 per registration
Eligibility: 100 Contestants (first come, first registered).
Registration: Online via website
If slots are still available, Friday, March 9, 2012 at event from 7 to 8 p.m.
Contest Categories: There will be 20 available spots per category. Category definitions are as follows:
- Sinful Stiletto – 3” or higher, pencil-thin heel
- Playful Pump - open or closed toe shoe with a heel of 3” or less
- Bombshell Bootie - any shoe that has material above the ankle
- Scintillating Sandal - any shoe that has strapping
- Funky Footwear - any shoe laden with design, alternate material or embellishment OR a shoe that crosses 2 or more of the other categories
Judging: All shoes will be judged on four criteria based on a 1 to 5 point scale with total points equaling 20 by a panel of local judges. Contestants and their shoes will be judged on:
- Form - meets the definition of category
- Creativity - artistic design of shoe and materials used
- Style - wearable and compliments outfit
- Attitude - strut, stride or stroll of contestant
Walk-Off – in cases of a tie – 1 to 10 point scale for overall appearance. Shoe Ball contestants will be invited to take to the runway for a second run scored by panel judges.
Prizes: awarded to the first place finisher in each category.
