Christine Bauman

Program of study:

Associate in Arts

Favorite class and/or instructor:

Katherine Midday, Mark Waters, Ted Hazelgrove; the English faculty are awesome.

Participates in:

I was the editor-in-chief of the school paper, the Tartan and I’m also the president of the Cheshire Cheese Society, which is MCC’s literature club.

Why MCC?

Well, I live five minutes away, but MCC has been great. I’ve learned so much since I’ve been here and getting involved in the school’s clubs has been very enriching for me. I’d recommend MCC to others because it’s a cost-effective way to get a step up before going to a four-year university and it gives you a chance to explore different areas of study if you are unsure of your major.

Next Steps:

I want to transfer to Roosevelt University and eventually get a master’s in English so I can teach at the college level.

Is there anything about your experiences at MCC that you’d like to add?

I also took the Certified Nursing Assistant Course. That was a great learning experience and has provided me with great job opportunities.
