| The Cheshire Cheese Society | Derived from the name of the old British pub where great literary figures once sat and pondered the grand mysteries of their universe, the MCC Cheshire Cheese Society welcomes students to become involved in all aspects of literature. Members read books of interest and discuss their own interpretations in an open forum. Events will also be planned to help promote literacy and literature in all their variety within the campus and throughout the community. | Chess Club | The Chess Club was created to allow students to come together to have fun playing chess while learning new chess skills and strategies and sharing the knowledge of the game with other members. Members do not have to have any chess playing experience to join. All skill leves are welcome and someone will be glad to teach new members the fundamentals of the game. | College Bowl | College Bowl is a question and answer game of general knowledge, also known as "The Varsity Sport of the Mind." Game questions cover every conceivable topic, from history, literature, science, multiculturalism, religion and geography to current events, the arts, social sciences, sports and popular cultures. | Down to Earth | Down to Earth is an environmental club that is active in local issues. | Forensics Team | Forensics is a co-curricular activity emphasizing the development of communication skills that are so essential today. Students in forensics compete in a variety of oral interpretation and public speaking events, including interpretation of prose, poetry, drama, dramatic duet, reader’s theatre, persuasive, informative, entertainment, impromptu, extemporaneous speaking and various specialty events. | Student Trustee | The student member of the Board of Trustees shall be responsible for voicing student body and community opinion and shall report monthly to the Board of Trustees. | The Tartan | The Tartan is MCC's student newspaper that offers students an opportunity for real-life experiences working in the fast-paced world of journalism. Students are invited to become involved using and developing skills in: writing, photography, proofreading, desktop publishing, business management, and ad sales. Tuition-waiver positions are often available.
