With the guidance of experienced and innovative instructors, our students will reach the pinnacle of their culinary education. Their final test will be to develop, prepare, market, sell, produce and serve you their idea of a restaurant – including food, menu, promotion, service technique, and more. Understanding the "big picture" is crucial for survival in our industry, or, for that matter, to begin and start out as a new business owner.
MCC has stepped beyond the theoretical classroom and is providing students with an invaluable opportunity. Now, in a safe and controlled environment, they are allowed to make mistakes and will be taught how to resolve and learn from them. We don't tell them what to do – we give them opportunities to find their own answers -- with our guidance and the knowledge they have already received throughout their time in MCC's Culinary Management Program. In short, we empower our students to use their knowledge, critical thinking, and analytical skills to succeed.
As diners, you can expect a great variety of menus over a semester, because not only do ingredients change with each season, but our students change too. And they bring their own visions and concepts to Slàinte. Your student-managed restaurant will be an oasis for you to try new things, enjoy some relaxing quality time at MCC and be amazed by the service and the culinary talent our students will showcase.
