Application must provide a two-paragraph essay explaining her transitional status and need for financial support for her college education. Preference given to women who are 24+ years old and in transitional status within their life (back to school, divorcee, single parent or career change). Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student (12 credit hours) Applicant must be pursuing a certificate or degree at MCC. Applicant should demonstrate current financial need by applying for FAFSA.
This scholarship provides monies for the fall and spring semester up to a maximum of $3,000.00. No payments made directly to students. Award monies will be used towards tuition, books (purchased from the MCC Bookstore) and fees (i.e., Registration, Course, Lab, and Technology).
