Women in Transition (WIT) Scholarship

Eligibility requirements: Application must provide a two-paragraph essay explaining her transitional status and need for financial support for her college education. Preference given to women who are 24+ years old and in transitional status within their life (back to school, divorcee, single parent or career change). Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student (12 credit hours) Applicant must be pursuing a certificate or degree at MCC. Applicant should demonstrate current financial need by applying for FAFSA.
Support provided: This scholarship provides monies for the fall and spring semester up to a maximum of $3,000.00. No payments made directly to students. Award monies will be used towards tuition, books (purchased from the MCC Bookstore) and fees (i.e., Registration, Course, Lab, and Technology).

Applicants must submit the following documentation: MCC scholarship application form with signature and date. Essay explaining the transition status and need for financial support for education.
