Applicants must complete and submit the MCC Scholarship Application, must demonstrate financial need by applying for FAFSA, must submit a one-page essay on his/her personal philosophy and the value of education in his/her life. Preference will be given to a student who has completed Introduction to Anthropology (ANT151) and will enroll in at least one Humanities class during the fall or spring semester (see current catalog for the list of Humanities classes).
The recipient will receive an award up to $500.00 for the semester awarded. No payments made to the students directly. The award monies may only be used for tuition, books (purchased from the MCC Bookstore) and fees (i.e., Registration, Course, Lab, and Technology) for the semester awarded.
Applicant must provide the following: MCC Scholarship Application form with signature and date, provide proof of applying for FAFSA, one-page essay and proof of enrollment in ANT151 or humanities class.
