Applicants must be enrolled in a degree or certificate program for a minimum of six (6) credit hours, demonstrate financial need, and have a cumulative 2.0+ GPA or GED. Priority will be given to Hispanic students and to those who would be the first generation in their family to complete college. Applicant must provide a 500 word essay describing past, present or future contributions to your culture, community or family.
The award amount is determined by the Finance Committee of the Fiends of MCC Foundation Board of Directors. No payments made to the student directly. The scholarship may only be used toward tuition, books (purchased from the MCC Bookstore) and fees (i.e., Registration, Course, Lab, and Technology).
Applicants must submit the following documentation: MCC scholarship application with signature and date; a 500-word essay describing past, present, or future contributions to your culture, community or family; and provide proof of 2.0+ GPA or GED completion and transcript. Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA.
