Applicants must demonstrate financial need by applying for FAFSA. Applicant must plan to complete an associate's degree or certificate at MCC. Applicant must be taking at least six (6) credit hours each semester. Applicant must provide a one-page essay that describes educational and career goals, and how this scholarship would contribute to meeting them. Preference will be given to MCC students living in McHenry County College District 528.
The scholarship provides up to $500.00 in award monies for up to four (4) consecutive semesters. To continue to be eligible for awards, the student must maintain a 2.5+ GPA (provide proof), complete required advising, and successfully complete at least two-thirds of the courses in which they enroll. No payment will be provided directly to students. The award monies may only be used for tuition, book (purchased from the MCC Bookstore) and fees (i.e., Registration, Course, Lab, and Technology) for the semester awarded.
