Applicant must be a student pursuing a transfer degree, having completed eighteen credit (18) hours with a 2.5+ GPA. Proof of GPA and/or a copy of transcript. Applicant must provide proof of financial need by applying for FAFSA. Applicant must be enrolled for a minimum of six (6) credit hours. Applicant must provide a letter of recommendation from an instructor. Preference will be given to McHenry County residents.
The annual award amount is determined by the Finance Committee of the Friends of MCC Foundation Board of Directors. No payments made to the student directly. The award monies may only be used for tuition, books (purchased from the MCC Bookstore) and fees (i.e., Registration, Course, Lab, and Technology) for the semester awarded.
Applicants must submit the following documentation: MCC Scholarship Application with signature and date, letter of recommendation from an instructor, proof of GPA and a copy of transcript and proof of FAFSA application completion.
