Applicant must be enrolled in a degree or certificate program for a minimum of nine (9) credit hours. Must provide proof of financial need by filling out the FAFSA. Applicant must have a high school or college GPA of 2.0+ or GED. Priority will be given to students who would be the first generation in their family to complete college. Applicant must provide a 300-500 word essay describing their educational goals.
The decision about the recipient is made by the Scholarship review Committee. The recipient will receive up to $500 in award monies for the semester awarded. No payments made to students directly. The award monies may only be used for tuition, books (purchased from the MCC Bookstore) and fees (i.e., Registration, Course, Lab, and Technology) for the semester awarded.
