James Gratton Kenna Memorial Award

Eligibility requirements: Applicant must complete and submit the MCC Scholarship Application. Applicant must be pursuing a degree in Humanities: Art, English, Journalism, Languages, Music, Philosophy, Speech and Theater. Provide a one-page essay on career goals and how an MCC Education will contribute to meeting those goals. Preference given to applicant that is involved in campus activities. Applicant must provide a letter of recommendation from an instructor. Applicant must be a resident of McHenry County. Applicant may use the award money toward International Studies abroad.
Support provided: The award will provide up to $250.00 to the recipient for the semester awarded. No payments will be made directly to students. The award monies may only be used for tuition, books (purchased in the MCC Bookstore) and fees (i.e., Registration, Course, Lab and Technology) for the semester awarded.
