Trustee Emeritus Barbara Walters Award Fund

Eligibility requirements: Applicant must complete and submit the MCC Scholarship Application. Applicant must be enrolled in Science and/or Mathematics. Applicant must provide prove of United States Citizenship. Applicant must be a resident of McHenry County for at least 365 days upon submission date. Applicant must provide proof of a 3.0+ GPA. Applicant must complete and submit the FAFSA application to the Office of Financial Aid. Combined income of the applicants parents may not exceed a total gross compensation of $85,000, reported to the IRS on form 1040 for tax years of 2013. Applicant must provide copy of IRS 4506T Form. Should the applicant live independent of parents proof of income requirement is no greater than $25,000 gross for reporting period of 2013. Applicant must provide copy of IRS 4506T Form.
Support provided: The award will provide up to $500.00 to the recipient for the semester awarded. No payments made to students directly. The award may only be used for tuition, proof of books purchased thru MCC Bookstore, fees (i.e., Registration, Course, Lab, and Technology) for the semester awarded.
Material to be submitted:
MCC Applicant must provide the following: MCC Scholarship Application Form with signature and date, proof of enrollment in Science and/or Mathematics, proof of residency in McHenry County, proof of 3.0+ GPA, FAFSA completion and copy of IRS 4506T Form.
