Partnership agreements – Partnerships provide for special opportunities ranging from program-to-program articulation agreements to scholarship opportunities.


Guaranteed Admission Agreements

Arizona State University

Guaranteed Program for Admission (GPA) - The GPA program offers students the following benefits:

  • ASU tools and guidance on which courses to take while attending MCC
  • Acceptance of the completed Illinois Articulation Initiative General Education Core Curriculum (IAI) as satisfying the ASU lower-division general studies requirements
  • Ability to transfer to ASU in the fall or spring semester
  • Your catalog year will remain the year you sign the agreement rather than the year you are admitted to ASU

DePaul University

DePaul Admission Partnership Program (DAPP) – Dual admission partnership provides opportunity for guaranteed admission into an approved bachelor degree program to qualifying students, provided admission requirements are met at the time of transfer.

Eastern Illinois University

The Guaranteed Admission Agreement provides opportunity for guaranteed admission into an approved bachelor degree program to qualifying students, provided admission requirements are met at the time of transfer.

Lake Forest College

The Guaranteed Admission Agreement provides opportunity for guaranteed admission to more than 40 undergraduate degree programs provided academic criteria is met. Advising for Lake Forest College transfer staff creates a seamless and successful transition for transfer students. Students also have the opportunity to meet with a Career Advancement Center advisor.

Northeastern Illinois University

The Guaranteed Admission Agreement allows admission to both MCC and Northeastern while enrolled at MCC. Under the agreement, students have full access to Northeastern’s offices of Enrollment Services, Academic Advising, Library, and Financial Aid while enrolled at MCC. Students must maintain continuous full-time or part-time enrollment MCC with a 2.0 grade point average to remain eligible for the dual admission program. For guaranteed admission, some programs require a higher GPA and unique admission requirements.

Northern Illinois University

  • Guaranteed Admission Partnership (GAP) - The GAP program provides students with the opportunity for guaranteed admission to more than 56 NIU undergraduate degree programs, provided admission requirements are met at the time of transfer. NIU transfer admission counseling creates a seamless and successful transition for transfer students. The partnership does not guarantee admission to NIU’s limited admission programs, which may have a higher GPA or other unique admission requirements.
  • Business Dual Degree Progam (BDDP) – The Business Dual Degree Program is a cohort program offered at the NIU Hoffman Estates site through nontraditional delivery format: online and evening classroom. Full-time students can complete the program in two years. Students must have a completed associate degree, minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA, and specific coursework completed.

Roosevelt University

  • Dual Degree Program (DDP) – DDP benefits include guaranteed admission to Roosevelt University, guaranteed tuition discount plan, advising from Roosevelt University transfer staff, and scholarship opportunities.
  • Pharmacy Partnership Program – The Pharmacy Partnership Program provides an educational pathway for top performing, qualified students interested in becoming pharmacists. A maximum of 10 MCC students who meet the criteria are chosen for direct admission to Roosevelt’s Doctor of Pharmacy program.

The School of the Art Institute (SAIC)

The partnership agreement with SAIC provides for articulated coursework and the opportunity for Guaranteed Admission and a Transfer Partnership Award in the amount of $2000, renewable annually.

Southern Illinois University Carbondale

The Guaranteed Admission Agreement provides opportunity for guaranteed admission into an approved bachelor degree program to qualifying students, provided admission requirements are met at the time of transfer.

University of Illinois at Chicago

Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) – TAG provides the opportunity for guaranteed admission to a UIC participating baccalaureate degree program for students meeting academic criteria, including a minimum GPA. Participating baccalaureate programs include the following:

  • College of Architecture, Design, and The Arts: BA in Architectural Studies, BA in Art History, BFA in Art
  • College of Business Administration: all majors
  • College Engineering: all majors
  • College of Liberal Arts & Sciences: all majors
  • College of Public Health: BA in Public Health
  • College of Urban Planning & Public Affairs: all majors
  • Honors College

University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign

  • Engineering Pathways – Engineering Pathways offers qualifying high school students the opportunity to complete their first two years of course work at MCC and to have guaranteed transfer admission into UIUC’s College of Engineering. Admission into the program is competitive, with the typical applicant earning mostly As and Bs in high school, taking science and math courses during the senior year, and having high SAT or ACT scores. Eligible students will enroll full-time at MCC, complete prescribed coursework, and maintain a required minimum GPA.
  • College of Agriculture, Consumer and Environmental Science (ACES) – The partnership provides guaranteed admission to students who complete prescribed Transfer Agreement Program at MCC, with the required GPA, and submits required application and supporting documentation.
