Choosing Classes - Credit Hours

Students earn credit hours when they spend time learning a subject or skill. Each course is given a credit-hour value. The number of credit hours varies by class, depending on how often the class meets.

A three-credit hour class will meet typically for three hours a week fall or spring semesters, six to twelve hours a week summer semester, or twelve hours a week winter intersession.

Fall August through December 16 weeks 3 hours per week
Winter Intersession December through January 4 weeks 12 hours per week
