McHenry County College culinary students are busy fine tuning their recipes for Slainte, the college's student-run restaurant. Slainte will re-open to the public for the spring semester on Thursday, Feb. 16. Restaurant hours are 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays through May 3.

MCC's Black Box Theatre will present as part of its 50th anniversary season, "The Normal Heart" by Larry Kramer. This Tony Award winning play originally presented in 1985 is a searing drama about public and private indifference to the AIDS plague and one man's lonely fight to awaken the world to the crisis.
