MCC to Host Automotive Open House, Scholarship Awards

McHenry County College will host an Automotive Technology Open House from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 26 and will award “Grow-A-Tech” scholarships for MCC’s automotive classes next fall.

Automotive repair shop owners from the Automotive Service Association (ASA) of Illinois and many key automotive repair industry vendors will network with students who are interested in pursuing careers in the automotive industry. Several students enrolled in the Automotive Technology Program at MCC, or in local high school automotive programs who plan to enroll at MCC will be awarded scholarships between $250 and $1,000 each.

The event will take place at McHenry County College in Building D and will feature demonstrations, displays, and activities from: Interstate Batteries' NASCAR vehicle, Hunter Engineering, Snap-on Tools, NAPA, Jasper Engines, Shocks Towing and The Lift Guy.
