Workplace Essentials Training to Feature Soft Skills Topics[Wednesday, October 25, 2017]
McHenry County College Shah Center is committed to supporting our area businesses and organizations by providing necessary training for the development of their employees, contributing to the success of the business, including soft skills training.
A variety of interactive two-hour Soft Skills training sessions are scheduled from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday afternoons, Nov. 2 through Dec. 12. The fee for each indivdual course is $69; register for all six and pay $369 to save 10 percent off (course code: NTL C19 001 for all six).
The weekly topics include: Active Listening: Improve Your ability to Listen and Lead, Nov. 2; Time Management, Nov. 9; Assertiveness, Nov. 16; Accountability, Nov. 30; Managing Conflict with Peers, Dec. 7; and Professionalism at Work, Dec. 14. These sessions engage each learning style with these short, sharp-shots of learning, ensuring that participants leave with at least one new skill, tool or technique that they could practice immediately back at their workplace and often in their personal life as well.
