Friends of MCC Foundation to Present Scholarship Fundraiser Fashion Show

[Friday, September 29, 2017]

The Education to Empowerment Scholarship Program of the Friends of McHenry County College Foundation will host its first-ever fashion show, Festive Fashions, from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov.  2 at Lakeside Legacy Arts Park, 401 Country Club Road in Crystal Lake.

Festive Fashions is a fundraiser for the Education to Empowerment (E2E) Scholarship program, which supports women pursuing educational success. Several McHenry County boutiques have teamed up with Education to Empowerment to showcase fashions for the holiday and winter seasons. In honor of McHenry County College celebrating its 50 years of education, fashion and design from 1967 will be brought back to life during the evening.  Recent recipients of scholarship funds will be among the models featured, along with some members of E2E.

E2E Members commit to providing scholarship funds for women who are second year students at MCC and then assists them in their first year at a four year college or university.  A total $168,000 has been awarded to 21 women since 2013.

Cost is $25 per person when registering online or $30 per person at the door. An appetizer and dessert buffet is included. Cocktails will be available at a cash bar.
