MCC to Offer Welding Classes in Woodstock

[Friday, May 26, 2017]

Those who love to work with their hands and have an eye for detail can learn how to weld for job advancement or as a hobby. Join a Welding Boot Camp offered by McHenry County College’s Continuing Education Department.

Welders work in a variety of environments, both indoors and out, using heat to melt and fuse metal for a common bond. Since so many products we use today involve welding, the opportunities in the welding industry are endless. Classes are available from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, June 3 through July 29 (course code: NWL C01 020) or from 6-9:20 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, June 5 through July 19 (course code: NWL C01 021).

Classes take place at the Woodstock Center, 912 Trakk Lane in Woodstock. Cost of this boot camp is $1,200 per student. No class on June 20, 21, 22, 24, 26, and July 4.

To register, call the MCC Registration Office at (815) 455-8588 or register online at www.mchenry.edu/myMCC. For more information, call Tracy Berry at (815) 455-8758 or Dori Sullens at (815) 455-8559.
