[Tuesday, March 07, 2017]

Join McHenry County College (MCC) on some exciting spring day trips. Registration is underway now and spaces are limited.

The following trips are available:

Jacob Henry Mansion, featuring an Irish Themed Show and Irish Meal: Visit this lovely and fully decorated mansion, which is a National Historic Landmark. It is known for its beauty, old Victorian charm and furnishings, as well as the delicious meals and entertainment. Get in the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day as you enjoy an Irish-themed show by Irish musicians “Mulligan Stew” and a delicious Irish meal, which is included. Cash bar is available. Trip takes place from 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, departing from MCC. Cost is $135. Use course code: NST S09 001 when registering. No refunds.

A Taste of Madison, Madison, Wis.: Enjoy a taste of Madison on this exclusive food tour featuring stops at some of Madison’s most beloved restaurants and pubs, as well as a historical tour of the downtown area and the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Monona Terrace. Indulge in farm-to-table fare, Wisconsin beers and cheeses, popular pub fare, and locally made ice cream and brats. Relax and enjoy the tour from the comfort of your motor coach with some easy walking in between—just enough to make room for more delicious food. Trip takes place from 8:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, departing from MCC. Cost is $99. Use course code: NST S05 001 when registering. No refunds.

“South Pacific” at Fireside Theatre, Fort Atkinson, Wis.: One of the most celebrated of all shows, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “South Pacific” is a story of love, of heroism, of courage, and of America. Set during World War II, this epic tale is told with humor, passion, beauty, action, and one of Broadway’s most impressive musical scores featuring such unforgettable songs as “Some Enchanted Evening,” “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair,” and “There Is Nothing Like a Dame,” and the beautifully haunting “Bali Hai.” This is one of the few musicals to have earned the Pulitzer Prize for drama. A delicious brunch is included. Trip takes place from 8:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, April 30, departing from MCC. Cost is $99. Use course code: NST S14 001 when registering. No refunds.
