Student Police Academy Gives Students Real-Life Career Training

McHenry County College Student Police Academy members pose for a photo after completing their 16-week credit class (CJS 290) that consists of a variety of police related topics and hands-on activities, including defense tactics, handcuffing, SWAT and building entry, crime scene investigation and firearm simulations. Classroom discussions include domestic violence, ethics and specialized officer training.
