MCC Presidential Talent Scholarship Available for High School Seniors[Monday, February 6, 2017]
McHenry County College announces the Presidential Talent Scholarship, a 60-credit hour tuition scholarship available to high school seniors beginning the 2017-2018 academic year.
Eight Presidential Talent Scholarships are available and will be awarded to qualified students based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities and community involvement.
The scholarship covers 60 credit hours of tuition at MCC, but does not pay for fees or books. Recipients are required to enroll in at least 12 credit hours in fall and spring semesters, maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and complete 15 service hours each fall and spring semester.
To apply for the scholarship, students must be a McHenry County College district high school graduate from December 2016 through June 2017, have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA in high school and complete the application with all the required documents.
Applicants must also submit a typed essay of up to 1,000 words, outlining how the scholarship will change or impact your educational and career goals.
