MCC Art Galleries to Host Faculty Art, Permanent Art Collection

McHenry County College faculty artwork is on display in Gallery One and Gallery Two in Building A at the college, through Feb. 28.

McHenry County College is hosting two art exhibitions, including a faculty art exhibit in Galleries One and Two in the MCC Library, through Feb. 28 and selected works from the MCC Permanent Art Collection in the Epping Gallery in the bookstore hallway in Building B, through Feb. 11.

Participating faculty artists include: Mark Arctander, painting and mixed media; Sonia Baysinger, metals; Matt Irie, painting, mixed media; Doug Manley, photography, CJ Niehaus, ceramics; Todd Reed, enamel on aluminum; Sarah Ruthven, ceramics, photography; Justin Schmitz, photography; Lee Stanton, painting and Tom Vician, ceramics.

The permanent art collection includes works that have been donated to the College or Foundation or purchased from artists exhibiting in the MCC Art Galleries, local and national galleries, MCC art faculty and current or former students. The collection is installed throughout the college and features a diverse selection of pieces that expose students, employees and the community to a wide range of art.
