MCC to Offer Animal CPR, First Aid and Care Course[Friday, January 13, 2017]
McHenry County College is offering an Animal CPR, First Aid and Care class for pet-care professionals from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 5 in Room A102 at MCC.
An important part of being a caring, responsible, and loving pet-care professional is knowing the lifesaving skills of pet first aid and care. Give the dogs and cats you care for the advantage by learning the necessary skills and techniques to use in an emergency situation. In this pet first-aid class, facilitated by Pet Tech, the largest international pet first aid training organization, the training is taught by lecture, demonstrations, and hands-on practice.
Participants will learn pet CPR, rescue breathing, choking management, how to check vital signs, and much more. The class includes a handbook, a completion certificate and a professional certificate both valid for two years, and an iron-on patch. As a pet-care professional, you'll find great benefit and peace of mind from knowing what to do when treating injured and sick pets. Bring your own bag lunch. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
Cost is $99. For more information, contact Ruth Kormanak at (815) 479-7879 or at firstname.lastname@example.org. To register, contact the MCC Registration Office at (815) 455-8588, or register online at www.mchenry.edu/proed, and reference course code: UVT U01 001.
