MCC to Offer Fun Classes for Women

Looking for a perfect Mother's Day gift or just want to make someone's life a little brighter? Consider registering the special woman in your life for these new Continuing Education classes offered by McHenry County College.   

The following classes are available:                                                                           

Hot Summer Hair Tips & Tricks: The salon and spa team at Distinction Salon and Spa will demonstrate the art of mastering the perfect blowout, quick up do trends, and summer hair tips and tricks that a woman can do to look great every day or your special summer outings. Class takes place from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 11 at Distinction Salon & Spa, 88 Railroad Street, Crystal Lake. Cost is $19. Use course ID: NPL S50 011 when registering.

Sizzling Summer Makeup Trends: An evening at Distinction Salon and Spa will provide tips on how to look your best this summer. The salon's makeup artists will share application techniques to help makeup last all day, discuss which colors look best with individual’s skin tone, and how to turn a soft and subtle day time look into a fun evening look. This class is ideal for those who have makeup questions, want to experiment with makeup, or just want a new look. Class takes place from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18 at Distinction Salon and Spa, 88 Railroad Street, Crystal Lake. Cost is $19. Use course ID: NPL S51 018 to register for this class.

10 Chic and Creative Ways to Wear Summer Scarves: Discover how to wear scarves effectively to suit your personal style and enjoy the hands-on experience of learning how to tie scarves that make you look effortlessly stylish. There are many unique ways that this one piece of fabric can transform your appearance without the need to spend a lot of money. Participants will learn  various ways to tie scarves of different lengths, sizes and materials. Bring a square scarf and a few others to practice with. Class takes place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 25 in Room A103. Cost is $15.  Use course ID: NCF S12 025 when registering.
