The Shah Center of McHenry County College offers two separate OSHA courses facilitated by an OSHA industry expert, Mike Serpe, a principle at Safety First NA.
Registration is underway for the following courses:
OSHA 10-Hour Voluntary Compliance in General Industry is ideal for personnel with safety and health responsibilities, and for implementing employee safety and health awareness programs. Students will be introduced to OSHA policies, procedures and standards as well as general industry safety and health principles covered in OSHA Act Part 1910. Upon successful course completion, participants will receive a certificate of attendance and an OSHA 10-hour card. The course fee is $225, which includes materials. Class takes place from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, May 19 and 21 Participants can register using course ID: NTE S65 004.
OSHA 30-Hour General Outreach Training is designed to provide detailed coverage of OSHA's general industry standards, requirements and employer’s responsibility to provide employees a safe and healthful workplace. This course is suited to safety and health personnel, supervisors, and those with safety and health responsibilities. A certificate of attendance and OSHA 30-Hour card will be provided upon course completion. The course fee is $429, which includes materials. Class takes from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesday, June 16, 18, 23, and 25 Participants can register using course ID: NTE S68 004.
