Search Engines:

A search engine is the most common tool used to find web pages on a particular topic.  There are many different search engines out there, new ones start everyday and old ones die out.  One of the best currently is Google. While Google is a general search engine useful for searching on any topic, some web search tools specialize in finding specific types of web pages, such as academic web pages or government web pages. Other web search tools specialize in finding web pages in a particular subject area.
