A college instructor since before the turn of the millennia (talk about an old relic), Jim has taught classes in both Speech and Journalism. His education is a hodgepodge of areas – an Associate's Degree in business from the College of Lake County and both his Bachelor's (Radio, Television, and Film) and Master's (Organizational Communication) degrees are from Eastern Illinois University.
His professional career has spanned multiple areas as well. In the media, his has worked for several different radio formats as a disc jockey and in the world of television has done work both behind and in front of the camera. He also has worked for a Fortune 500 company as a corporate trainer and has designed and facilitated workshops as an independent consultant on a variety of topics.
Jim also coaches little league baseball and has taught younger kids the sport of tennis. Opening young minds is always an exciting experience and it doesn't matter if it is in a class or not. Therefore, Jim's method of teaching as always been simple… open minds and allow the freedom to think. He challenges others to grow, doing activities that at first might appear difficult, but in the end makes an impact on their future – both in and out of the classroom.
