Ave atque ValeSubmitted By dquirk@mchenry.edu 4/24/2009 9:02:35 AM Phone: x8915 Today, April 24th, will be my last day on campus. I feel confident upon my departure that OIRP is in good capable hands. Tom Bentley and Meghan Waterbury will remain in their positions. (HR insisted that burying the henchmen--or is that "henchpersons"?--with the beloved leader definitely violates several articles of the staff contract.) Furthermore, new (read that as "significantly improved") leadership is only weeks away. I would like to take this moment to thank all of you whose kindness, sense of humor, charm, and patience made my years here more than "just a job." I am reassured by my experience working with you that MCC's reputation for being a place with heart will only grow stronger in the years ahead. I wish you all a wonderful summer as well as health, happiness, and bounty in the years to come. --Donald Quirk

Please bring them to me and I can find a home (another one of my green efforts). A colleague fills conference bags with books and gives them to low income parents within her school district. This is for a United Way grant. By recycling these bags, she has made her grant money stretch further. To date, she has distributed over 300 bags to low income parents. Thank you in advance! This leaves my CCF students without an advisor for next year. Did you know that without an advisor a club isn't official? If you've been thinking about becoming an advisor, and you're a Christian, consider this organization. The students are a wonderful group of young people, very dedicated, and they have a sincere love of Jesus. They are also a lot of fun and getting to know them has been an awesome experience. Knowing these students and being part of the CCF group has deeply enriched my life. If you think this might be an organization you are interested in feel free to contact me, or even better, attend our meetings. We meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30-4 p.m. in A205. Tuesday is Bible study and Thursday is dedicated to prayers. Our last meeting of the year is Tuesday, April 28, why not come and check us out.
