MCC offers academically talented students an opportunity to participate in an Honors Program or individual Honors Program courses.
This expanded educational experience allows you to study a subject in greater depth and from a variety of perspectives. The program emphasizes the refinement of skills in writing, research, problem solving and critical thinking.
You must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the Honors Program:

You must maintain a 3.5 GPA to continue in the Honors Program. To graduate with Honors Program designation, you must complete 18 to 20 semester hours of Honors Program coursework and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5. All honors coursework is identified on your transcript and an Honors Program graduate will have a special notation and award along with the degree.
If you are interested only in coursework and not the program, you are required to have a cumulative GPA of 3.2.
