Technical requirements

Online courses are supported by a computer, modem, and access to the Internet. You can access online course materials, your instructor, and your online classmates at any time and from any place with Internet access.

In an online course, all work is completed via the Internet therefore access to the Internet via Internet Explorer or Firefox and a high speed Internet connection is required. You can use a PC or Mac. If you're enrolled in online courses at MCC, you may also use computers located on campus to access your courses.

Do you possess the necessary skills to take an online course?

You should be familiar with word processing functions, email, search engines, saving documents in various formats and internet use. You need to be an independent, self-motivated learner. Good time management skills are a prerequisite for online learning success.
