McHenry County College Board of Trustees Consolidated Election

The McHenry County College Board of Trustees has three six-year seats, one four-year seat, and one two-year seat open for board members for the April 2, 2019, Consolidated Election.

Petitions for April 2019 Consolidated Election

The following candidates have submitted petitions to run for the office of McHenry County College Trustee in the April 2, 2019 Consolidated Election:

Six-Year Term (three seats)

  • Thomas Allen
  • Maija Mizens
  • Carlos S. Arevalo
  • Mary Beth Siddons
  • Molly Walsh
  • James Young

Four-Year Term (one seat)

  • Andrew J. "Drew" Georgi Jr.
  • Suzanne Hoban
  • Cheryl Dawson

Two-Year Term (one seat)

  • Elizabeth Speros
  • Peter Suffield

Candidacy petitions for McHenry County College Board of Trustees positions became available Tuesday, September 18. Petition filing started at 8 a.m. on December 10 and ended at 5 p.m. on December 17.  

According to the Illinois Public Community College Act—whether filling a vacancy or running for election, all candidates for the position must meet the following eligibility requirements. A candidate must be:

  • A U.S. Citizen
  • A resident of the community college district (MCC District #528)
  • At least 18 years of age
