Counseling services are free and comply with legal and professional standards of confidentiality. Services are available on a limited walk-in basis, by appointment, and through college credit classes, seminars, groups and online self-help resources

Making Academic Progress Policy

Also known as MAPP - if your cumulative GPA falls below a 2.0, you may be required to meet with a counselor prior to registering for classes. Counselors will help you select classes for your next semester and develop academic success strategies.

Referrals to Counseling

  • Faculty may refer students to Counseling.
  • Students concerned about another student may seek guidance from a counselor.
  • Counselors may contact a student who has been referred to Counseling to offer assistance.

MCC Counseling Faculty

MCC Counselors hold Master’s Degrees in Counseling and follow the American Counseling Association’s Code of Ethics.
