MCC and 20 other community colleges created a consortium called Illinois Network for Advanced Manufacturing (iNAM). The goal of the iNAM project is to expand and improve the delivery of education and career training programs leading to industry-recognized certificates or associate degrees that can be completed in two years or less, and prepare Trade Adjustment Assistance Act Reauthorization Act of 2015 (TAARA 2015)-eligible and other workers for employment in high-wage, high-skill advanced manufacturing occupations.

Manufacturing accounts for approximately one quarter of McHenry County’s economy and MCC is committed to supporting manufacturing because area manufacturers require a local, skilled workforce.

  • Attend classes at any one of the 21 INAM participating schools for in-district tuition.  All classes are transferable within these participating community colleges in Illinois.
  • Receive personal assistance with course selections and job placement.
  • Ask about internship and on-the-job training opportunities for CNC and robotics.
  • Usual tuition and registration fees apply.  Financial aid may be available to students who are TAARA eligible.
