Student-Athlete of the Month - September 2015
Anna Schupbach - Student-Athlete of the Month - October 2016
Congratulations to Anna Schupbach earning the MCC Student-Athlete of the Month honor for October. The Princeville H.S graduate is a freshman for our Women’s Volleyball Team.
Anna is a 5’9” Outside Hitter for the 2016-17 Scots this fall. They are currently 26-12 overall and finished undefeated in conference play with a record of 8-0. This marked back to back conference titles for the team. Post-season begins soon and the Scots are ranked #1 in Region IV and #12 in national polls. "Anna has played in 24/26 matches after an early injury this season. She leads our team in Aces (27) and is a primary passer for us. She also has contributed 98 kills this season thus far. Not only are her talents on the playing court, but Anna has sung the National Anthem for our home games this year, giving us chills each time. We love having Anna on the team and she has recently started coming out of her shell both on and off the court. We think Anna has a high potential and look forward to her career with us,” lauds Head Coach Kyle McCall.
“Anna has been a wonderful addition to our volleyball program and department. She has represented herself and MCC with maturity and class beyond her years. I have enjoyed listening to her musical talents each home game and look forward to all she continues to bring to MCC both in athletics and academics. She has a bright future ahead of her and we are proud to be a part of it,” adds Director of Athletics Karen Wiley.
