Transferring to another school:

You are strongly encouraged to seek the assistance of advisors when planning coursework for transfer. There are different ways of approaching the transfer process:

Earn an Associate of Science (A.S.), Associate of Arts (A.A.), Associate of Engineering Science (A.E.S.), or an Associate of Fine Arts (A.F.A.), at McHenry County College, requiring a minimum of 60 semester hours. See Degree Planning Sheets for more information.
Complete the Illinois Articulation Initiative General Education Core before transferring, requiring 37-41 semester hours.
Use u.select (formerly CAS), an online tool that will help you learn how MCC courses transfer and apply toward majors at other u.select participating colleges and universities.
Select MCC courses to satisfy general education requirements and major requirements at your transfer institution. See:
