Sandra Lang

Sandra Lang was born in Lockport, Illinois and lived in Wisconsin and Chicago before moving to McHenry County. She received a BFA degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, a MFA from the University of Notre Dame and will receive a Museum Studies graduate certificate in 2010 from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois. Sandra is the gallery curator at MCC and oversees the art galleries and the Permanent Art Collection, including the Portrait in Print, a collection of fine art prints permanently installed in the MCC library. Sandra is responsible for two national grants as well as a mini-grant being awarded to MCC recently as a result of her grant proposals. Her proposals focused on assessment and conservation of the print collection and the development of a long-term preservation plan for the prints.

Sandra Lang is also an instructor at MCC in humanities, three-dimensional design and sculpture courses.
